The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in case registered vide FIR No.1156 dated 19.9.2019 under Section 506 IPC & Section 10 POCSO Act, Police Station City Jagadhri, District Yamuna Nagar. 2.
The FIR was registered at the instance of Ram Pal wherein it has been alleged that accused Rohit @ Jauni, Sahil and Shakti had misbehaved and teased his daughter aged 15 years on 16.9.2019 while she was on her way to school.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the FIR came to be lodged under some mistaken belief which has now been cleared and the parties have entered into a compromise and a petition for quashing of GAURAV SOROT 2019.12.19 16:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Opposing the petition, the learned State counsel has submitted that since the petitioner has specifically been named in the FIR and the prosecutrix in her statement recorded in terms of Section 164 Cr.P.C. has reiterated the allegations levelled in the FIR, no case for grant of bail is made out. It has however been informed that the petitioner has been behind bars since last 3 months and that 'Challan' has already been presented. 5.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case especially that the parties are stated to have entered into a compromise and that the petitioner has been behind bars since last 3 months, further detention of the petitioner will not serve any useful purpose as conclusion of trial, in onclusion of trial, in its normal course, is likely to take some time. its normal course, is likely to take some time.
