Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, interalia, directing the respondent authorities to promote the petitioner as Constable (Dog Handler).

Learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, submits that his grievance stands redressed; therefore, the present writ petition is rendered infructuous.
