 The grievance of the petitioner-complainant in the present petition invoking inherent powers of this Court is that though FIR No. 184 dated 12.08.2024 under Sections 115(2), 126(2), 329(3) 351(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, has been registered at Police Station Gharinda, District Amritsar Rural but for lesser offences than the one alleged by the petitioner-complainant.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner sustained incised wound on the right temporal region of the head but offence only of causing minor hurt has been registered by the police. 3.

The petitioner can very well approach the Magistrate of the area concerned under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Section 175 of BNSS) for the alleged grievance and therefore, this Court declines to interfere on-merits leaving it for the petitioner to approach the concerned Magistrate and if the Magistrate is approached within a period of 15 days, the Magistrate shall decide the application as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law preferably within a period of sixty days.
