ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioners herein, inter alia, seeks quashing of office memo dated 20.12.2016/21.12.2016 passed by Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Haryana, Medical Education and Research Department, Chandigarh, to the extent of re-designating them to the post of Associate Professor with effect from the date of their joining on higher post of Associate Professor in stead from the date of their entitlement. 2.
It transpires during pendency of writ proceedings, vide an office order dated 16.02.2018 (Annexure R-1), the claim of petitioners to the extent of seeking re-designation as Associate Professors has been accepted and they have been accorded benefit of re-designation by counting their service from the date of their joining. passing the aforesaid order certain riders have been put therein and the same are not under challenge before this Court. 3.
In the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that riders qua which the petitioners have grievance, have been put only in their case and subsequently their counterparts, who have been accorded promotion on re-designation, the riders are withdrawn.

The writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. However, petitioners are at liberty to challenge the aforesaid order passed during the pendency of the proceedings if so advised, qua the relief originally sought by them.

Being so, the petitioners are at liberty to represent to the competent authority and it is expected of the competent authority that their grievance will be redressed on parity with others. 6.
Disposed of in above terms.
