The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking direction to the respondents to declare the petitioner eligible for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher/TGT-Arts, pursuant to advertisement no.2 of 2023, dated 21.2.2023.

Learned senior counsel contends that the petitioner is fully eligible for the post of TGT-Arts, as he obtained B.A. degree with additional subject of Fine Arts in all the three years. Besides, he has obtained Masters degree in Fine Arts also, which is a higher qualification in the same line and, therefore, he cannot be declared ineligible for the post.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that so far final decision on the eligibility of candidates, including that of the petitioner, has not been taken by the Commission. And while considering the Ashwani Kumar 2023.12.16 13:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view thereof, the petition is disposed of directing respondent no.1 to consider and decide the petitioner's eligibility for the advertised post in the light of B.A. degree that he has obtained with additional subject of Fine Arts in all three years as well as M.A. in Fine Arts, and convey the decision to him before declaring the final result.
