*** H.S. Grewal, J. (Oral) This is a petition for anticipatory bail filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, (BNSS), 2023 in case bearing FIR No.105 dated 07.10.2024 under Section 22 of NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Bhadson, District Patiala.

The case of the prosecution is that recovery of 6080 tablets of Tramadol salt have been effected from the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is running a chemist shop with a valid license and was authorized to keep the said quantity for further sale to the customers. He further made out a case by producing a footage of CCTV camera wherein the officials of the police party were asking for a bribe and the police officials were seen around the premises of the shop carrying a bag which is stated to have been cash secured from the petitioner as bribe. 3.

This Court, vide order dated 26.05.2025, had directed the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer and join investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction Sonia Puri 2025.07.09 10:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned State counsel on instructions states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation. 5.

In view of the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner especially when the petitioner has cooperated with the investigation, the order dated 26.05.2025 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute. 6.

However, the petitioner shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition stands allowed.
