(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned State counsel has informed that while the case of petitioner No.2 - Mahesh @ Shunty for his premature release is under consideration, the case of petitioner No.1 - Mandip had not been initiated as he had not undergone the requisite period of sentence. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that as of now petitioner No.1 has also undergone the requisite period of sentence and that some direction may be issued to the authorities concerned to consider his case as well.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.04.18 14:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-2215-2019 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:053327 petitioners as regards their premature release in accordance with law and as per the policies applicable to them.
