RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for setting aside/quashing impugned inquiry report dated 10.10.2018 (Annexure P-6) conducted in utter violation of provisions of Criminal Procedure Code as well as order dated 14.01.2009 (Annexure P-7) of the Additional Director General of Police, Punjab. Further, direction has been sought to carry out investigation in case FIR No. 176 dated 12.09.2018 (Annexure P-5) under Section 420 IPC Police Station Lehra, District Sangur.

Learned State counsel submits that final report under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C. has been filed in Court only against accused-Ram Lal, declaring Basant Kumar as innocent. After filing of final report under Section 173(2) Cr.P.C., police cannot re-investigate the matter.
