The prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner by providing adequate security as there is continuous threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 9.
1.1 A further prayer is also made for issuance of direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to consider and decide the representation dated 07.10.2023 (Annexure P-1) moved by the petitioner. 2.
A status report, dated 20.04.2024 by way of an affidavit of Sh. Harpreet Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division, Kapurthala, has been filed in Court today by learned State counsel. The same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the State has informed that the parties have effected a compromise. A copy of the compromise has also been supplied in Court today by learned State counsel. The same is also taken on record. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner also confirms that the matter stands compromised between the parties.
