(Oral) Present petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus, to direct the respondents to constitute a separate Gram Panchayat for Village Jalal Bholana, District Kapurthala as per the provisions contained under Part IX of the Constitution of India and the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. At the outset, learned State counsel submits that the elections to the Gram Panchayats have already been held in December, 2018. New Panchs/Sarpanchs have been notified. The grievance of the petitioner for constitution of a separate Gram Panchayat shall be considered before the next elections to the Gram Panchayats are held in Punjab as per law. As regards the provisions of funds for Village Jalal Bholana are concerned, learned State counsel submits that he may submit representation in this regard. In view of above, present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
