Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.81 dated 22.08.2025 under Sections 332(C), 324(4), 118(1), 115(2), 191(2), 190, 351(2) of BNS (section 118(2) of BNS added later on), registered at Police Station Bariwala, District Sri Muktsar Sahib. 2.
On 24.09.2025, following order was passed:- "Present petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.81 dated 22.08.2025 under Sections 332(2), 324(4), 118(1), 115(2), 191(2), 190, 351(2) of BNS, registered at Police Station Bariwala, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the injury specifically attributed to the petitioner inflicted on person of Husanpreet Singh has been declared simple in nature. There is delay of 06 days in lodging of the FIR. The petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. He has further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation.

Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and seeks time to file status report.
List on 15.12.2025.
Meanwhile, the petitioner shall join the investigation and would come present as and when called for and in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/ Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 482(2) BNSS."

Continuing his submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that in compliance of the order dated 24.09.2025, passed by this Court, petitioner has joined the investigation, and has fully co-operated. Therefore, he prays for confirmation of the said interim anticipatory bail order.

Learned State counsel has filed status report dated 12.02.2026 in the Court today and the same is taken on record. Learned State counsel on instructions, confirms the said averment made by counsel for the petitioner of joining the investigation on 01.11.2025 by the petitioner, and submits that as of now, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required for the purpose of investigation.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Since, petitioner has already joined the investigation and custodial interrogation is no more required; ad-interim bail order dated 24.09.2025, passed by this Court is hereby made absolute. Accordingly, present petition is allowed.
However, petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the terms and conditions laid down under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023. 7.
Accordingly, petition stands disposed of.

However, present order would be subject to the submission of passport of the petitioner to the Investigating Agency or to Court concerned, if he possesses, within a period of one week from today. Otherwise, he would submit an affidavit, disclosing the fact that he does not possess any passport.
