This Petition, in the shape of Public Interest Litigation, essentially assails service matter as regards recruitment, appointment and re-employment to the post of Clerk in Punjab Police Housing Corporation. 2.

Service matters are essentially personal in nature and give rise to personal causes of action which cannot be adjudicated in Public Interest Litigation. [please see: Dr. Duryodhan Sahu vs. Jitendra Kumar, (1998) 7 SCC 273; Neetu vs. State of Punjab, (2007) 10 SCC 614; Dattaraj Nathuji Thaware vs. State of Maharashtra, (2005) 1 SCC 590; and Vishal Ashok Thorat and others vs. Rajesh Shripambapu and others, (2020) 18 SCC 675] 3.

Accordingly, present petition stands dismissed as being not maintainable.
