By way of present petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner is praying for issuing direction to the respondents to ensure safety/protection to the life & liberty of the petitioner. Besides, petitioner also prays for directing the respondents for dispensing the physical presence and production of the petitioner in respect of trial in FIR cases (Annexure P-1 to P-7), because, there is serious threat and apprehension to the life and well-being of the petitioner. 2.
Learned State counsel has filed the status report dated 07.02.2025, by way of affidavit of Amit Kumar, Superintendent of Jail, Central Jail-I, Hisar, on behalf of respondents No.2 & 3, in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Office to tag the same at appropriate place.
A copy thereof has been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner.

Paragraphs No.1, 2 & 3 of the aforesaid status report, says as under:- "1.
That accused namely Sumit @ Plotra, aged about 33 years son of Nanha Ram, resident of Pana Melwan, Ladhyan Wali Gali, Bohar (Part-68), P.S. Urban Estate, District Rohtak was transferred from District Jail, Jhajjar to this jail on 12.05.2023 by the orders of the Hon'ble Court of Sh. Fakhruddin, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Jhajjar, in case FIR No.116, dated 03.03.2017, under Sections 302/120-B/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act, P.S. Sadar Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar. The petitioner is confined in this jail as an undertrial in 17 cases of Delhi & Haryana State.

That, inside the jail, the petitioner is confined in separate cells to avoid any untoward incident and for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner.

That adequate police force with security is being provided to each prisoner during their appearance before the Hon'ble Court. Even the Ld. Trial Courts are also requested to arrange the appearance of such prisoners through Video Conference instead of personal appearance. The above said prisoner is also being produced in the Hon'ble Court through Video Conferencing system. As and when the Hon'ble Court physical appearance in Court then the accused is produced in the Hon'ble Court through special armed escort Guards with proper security."

Noticing the fact that the petitioner is already being produced through video conferencing, and the counsel for the petitioner, being satisfied with the steps taken by the Jail Authorities for producing the petitioner through video conferencing, does not press the present petition at this stage.

On the basis of the statement made by the counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of, the same being not pressed at this stage.
