Mr. Navdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners in case FIR No.96 dated 27.09.2023 under Sections 406, 420, 120-B of the IPC registered at Police Station Ghanour, District Patiala.

While issuing notice of motion on 01.12.2023, following submissions of learned counsel for the petitioners were recorded:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia submits that the FIR in question essentially arises out of a civil dispute pending between the parties pertaining to the mortgage of a land which, however, was being given a criminal colour so as to pressurize the petitioners, who are ladies, from pursuing their civil remedy. He further submits that even as per allegations levelled no financial transaction took place by way of any negotiable instruments and the transaction, if any, was only through cash."

Thereafter, vide order dated 02.07.2024, the petitioners had been granted interim anticipatory bail with direction to join PUNEET SACHDEVA 2024.09.24 15:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in compliance of order dated 02.07.2024, the petitioners have joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency. 5.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, does not dispute the factum of the petitioners having joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency. He, on further instructions, submits that the petitioners are not required for further investigation much less for their custodial interrogation.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 02.07.2024 is made absolute subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C./482 BNSS.
