His name surfaced based on the disclosure statement of co-accused Shiv Kumar from whom the alleged contraband was recovered. In this regard, averments have been made in para 3(c) of the petition and Annexures P2 to P4 being the affidavits executed which in the reply filed by DSP (D), District Ludhiana (Rural) dated 05.11.2025, in compliance to the order passed by this Court, which is taken on record, has been confirmed from statement of Advocate Dharam Singh dated 31.10.2025, Annexure R1, who had notarized the same. The last call between them is 21.07.2025 while the FIR was registered on 02.08.2025. He is not involved in any other case. In this regard, reliance is placed on the judgment passed by Hon'ble The Supreme Court in the case of Tofan Singh vs. State of Tamil Nadu, 2021(1) RCR (Crl.) 1. He is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate.
