The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners for directions to the respondents No.2 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondents No.3 to 7.

The learned counsel representing the petitioners submits that respondent No.3-Bhawna Arora, who is neighbour of the petitioners, used to quarrel with the petitioners. According to the petitioners, they installed gate on their property separating from that of respondent No.3, and she lodged a false complaint with the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Ludhiana, who ordered to remove the gate within two days by virtue of order dated 03.03.2025. The learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that on 18.07.2025, the gate was removed by the officials after trespassing the house in their absence. According to learned counsel for the petitioners, while removing the gate of the petitioners, the police and other persons manhandled their minor daughter and the incident was recorded in CCTV camera.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that petitioner No.1 has moved representation dated 15.07.2025 before the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2025.09.29 13:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, against respondent No.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 10434 of 2025 Panchayat Officer, but no action has been taken thereon, and thereafter, he filed another representation dated 21.07.2025 (Annexure P5) before the above-mentioned Deputy Commissioner, but till date no action has been taken. he learned counsel for the petitioners prays for disposing of the present petition by issuing directions to the respondent No.2 to decide the above-mentioned representation (Annexure P5) within a stipulated time. 3.

Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 and 2 only. 4.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, and waives service. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the present petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner No.1 (Annexure P5) by passing a speaking order within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of copy of instant order. It is, however, clarified that no finding is being returned, by this Court, with regard to merits of the contents of representation. The respondent No.2 shall be at liberty to make an independent assessment with regard to contents of representation of the petitioner No.1 and make an independent decision at his own level.
