Apprehending threat to life and liberty at the hands of the private respondent, the petitioners, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, have come up before this Court seeking protection through the State.

Notice served upon the official respondents through the State's counsel. Mr. Manpreet Singh Sidhu, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.6 and filed his memo of appearance, which is taken on record. 3.

The petitioners are seeking protection from respondent No.6, who is stated to be wife of petitioner No.2 and returned from Canada in September 2024. 4.

Counsel appearing for respondent No.6, on instructions submits that allegations are false and there is nothing to fear from her. Although he submits that respondent No.6 is not permitted to enter in the house by petitioner No.2, however she will reserve her right in accordance with law but she will not threaten the petitioners. 5.
