Since a compromise has been arrived at between the parties and the same has been affirmed by the complainant as he has specifically stated in his statement that he has no objection in quashing of the FIR and other proceedings, no purpose would be served in case proceedings are continued in future as it would amount to wastage of precious time of the Court. Moreover, the compromise arrived at between the parties is genuine, voluntarily effected with free consent and without any pressure, threat or coercion from either side.

Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and the impugned criminal proceedings arising out of FIR No.52 dated 14.08.2018 registered under Sections 454 and 380 IPC at Police Station Sadiq, District Faridkot as well as all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom qua petitioners, namely, Jugraj Singh, Manjeet Kaur wife of Major Singh and Manjeet Kaur wife of Sukhmander Singh, are hereby quashed. 04.02.2019 (DAYA CHAUDHARY) neetu JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned Yes Whether Reportable Yes
