In the present petition, the grievance of the petitioner is that for the promotion to the post of Naib Tehsildar, a kanungo is required to pass the departmental examination and the petitioner has already passed some of the papers of the departmental examination but paper R-I is yet to be cleared.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner is going to retire in the next year and the respondents are not holding the departmental examination for the promotion to the post of Naib Tehsildar which is causing prejudice to the petitioner, as the petitioner is unable to get the promotion to the post of Naib Tehsildar despite being under the zone of consideration.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 6.
