His Mother vs. Union of India and another", decided on 01.10.2025. He further submits that in the event, the petitioner submits a fresh application for issuance of a passport, the same shall be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with the principles laid down in Royalpreet Singh Sandhu's case (supra), within a period of eight weeks from the date of submission of such application.

Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. It is made clear that the order dated 08.08.2025 (Annexure P-10) shall not pose any hindrance in consideration and decision of the petitioner's fresh application.
