(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in case FIR No. 142, dated 25.07.2017, under Section 376 of IPC (added later on Section 12 of the POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 66A of the IT, Act), registered at Police Station Division No.3, Jalandhar.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that pursuant to order dated 10th February, 2020, passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined investigation.
Learned State counsel on instructions from SI Amrik Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and during the interregnum period, the challan has also been presented before the trial Court. He submits that in the circumstances, petitioner is no more required for the custodial interrogation.
