(ORAL) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to the respondent No.2 to personally monitor investigation in FIR No.108 dated 26.09.2023 under Sections 323 341 506 148 149 of the IPC registered at Police Station Division No.1, Police Commissionerate Jalandhar, as he apprehends that the investigating agency may not fairly investigate the case in hand.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Mohit Kapoor, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, has informed the Court that as many as eight out of 11 accused already stand arrested and as per the medical opinion given, an offence under Section 325 of the IPC already stands added.

In the circumstances, no ground is made out for issuance of directions as prayed for.

Dismissed.
