DEEPAK GUPTA , J.(Oral) In continuation of direction passed vide separate order today, file has taken up again. Pursuant to the order passed earlier, the two petitioners have appeared in person, under protection provided by the security of the High Court.

It is informed by petitioner No.1 Hansika Singh in the open Court, in the presence of her parents-respondent Nos.4 and 5 that she performed marriage at her own will with petitioner No.2. Though, she concedes that she had called her parents, but states that she had called them to make a request to get the friends of petitioner No.2 free, who had been illegally taken away by the Uttarakhand police. In view of the aforesaid circumstances and considering the submission made by petitioner No.1-Hansika Singh, present petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to provide necessary protection to the petitioners, having regard to the threat perception to their life, which is clearly visible in the circumstances. Learned counsel for the petitioners has made a request that petitioners have to go to Jalandhar so they be provided necessary protection as they apprehend that they may be nabbed on the way by respondent Nos.4 and 5 with the help of their associates. 2023:PHHC:154943 CRWP-11703-2023 - 2 - It is directed in these circumstances that the High Court security shall take the custody of both the petitioners and will hand over them to the Punjab Police at the border of Chandigarh-Punjab and thereafter Punjab Police, will take over the custody of both the petitioners and shall leave the petitioners at the place of their choice. It is further directed that necessary protection to both the petitioners shall be provided till the threats continue. It is also directed that necessary action as per law be taken against private respondents, in case they make any attempt whatsoever to breach the security as provided to the petitioners or in case they make any threatening gesture or threaten the petitioners in any manner whatsoever.
