**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the benefits in respect of the service rendered by the late husband of the petitioner, namely, Sunil Verma, who died while in service, have not been released to the petitioner, though there is no impediment in releasing the same. Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that for claiming the said benefits, petitioner has approached the Director General, Technical Education, Haryana-respondent No.2 by filing a representation dated 06.03.2018 (Annexure P-5) and in reply to the said representation, respondent No.2, vide letter dated 22.10.2018 (Annexure P-7) stated that the matter is still pending consideration and after any final decision is taken by the Government, the same will be informed to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner further argues that even after an expiry of one year, no decision has been taken by the NARESH KUMAR 2019.12.20 16:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-37160-2019 -2respondents, which is causing great prejudice to the petitioner as the benefits, for which she is entitled, are being withheld for the last six years without any valid justification.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide her claim as raised in the representation dated 06.03.2018 (Annexure P-5) by passing an appropriate speaking order. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the representation dated 06.03.2018 (Annexure P-5) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to her within a period of next three months.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
