NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 528 of The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 is for quashing of FIR No. 28 dated 23.09.2024 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC, registered at Police Station PS Women, District Ferozepur, Punjab and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Prem Kumar, informs that the above-said FIR has been filed only on 23.09.2024 and even challan in the present case has not been presented, as investigation has not yet been completed.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, at this stage. Permitted to do so.
