RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to decide the applications filed by the petitioners for allotment of the surplus land/tenant permissible area for the reasons stated in the writ petition.

It has been contended by counsel for the petitioners that application, Annexure P-3, was filed by the petitioners on 19.09.2019 but no decision has been taken on the same till date. Learned State counsel submits, on instructions from Mr.Jatinder Kumar, Reader from the Office of SDO-cum-Prescribed Authority, Gulha, that the application of the petitioner will be decided within two months. After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a MEENU 2023.09.02 10:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment direction to respondent No.2, i.e. Sub Divisional Officer(Civil)-cum-
