Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to receive the application dated 25.08.2023, Annexure P-4, of the petitioner, for issuance of firearm license for the proper evaluation and consideration of the case of the petitioner on merits in accordance with law.

At the outset, counsel for the petitioner seeks and is granted permission to withdraw the petition.
