JASGURPREET SINGH PURI , J. (ORAL ) Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, they have filed the present petition for protection. Petitioners claim to have submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) dated 17.12.2019 in this regard to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur. Heard. Record perused.

The petitioners have placed on record only the copies of Aadhar Cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) as proof of their age. During the course of hearing, the petitioners have also produced self attested copies of their Matriculation certificates which are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Certificate (Annexure P3) as well as photographs (Annexure P4) regarding performance of marriage, have also been placed on record This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Police Distsrict Batala, District Gurdaspur, to look into the representation Annexure P-5 dated 17.12.2019 and ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.

However, it is made clear that this order shall not be treated as stamp of the Court about the marriage of the parties and no opinion regarding the validity of the marriage has been expressed. December 20, 2019.
