The petitioner has filed the instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of order dated 10.12.2019 (Annexure P2) whereby the claim of the petitioner to grant her family pension and other retiral benefits in lieu of the services rendered by her husband, has been rejected by the respondents and for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant family pension and other due benefits to the petitioner by considering the late husband of the petitioner entitled under the Old Pension Scheme as applicable to the employees recruited in service prior to 01.01.2004 as per Punjab Municipal Employees Pension and General Provident Fund Rules, 1994.

Consequently, the instant writ petition is allowed in the same terms as in CWP No.2371 of 2010.
