This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the appointment order dated 28.2.2022, Anexure P-6, and the final result dated 26.8.2022, Annexure P-7, to the extent the petitioner's roll number has not been included therein despite securing 132 marks, whereas private respondents no.3 and 4, who are less meritorious, have been appointed and are continuing in service. 2.

The representation submitted by the petitioner was rejected by the respondents vide impugned order dated 28.2.2022, on the ground that as per final result dated 26.8.2022, he secured 132 marks in the selection pursuant to advertisement no.4 of 2015 dated 28.6.2015, Annexure P-1, whereas marks of the last selected candidate in the general category, to which the petitioner belongs, are 136.
