(Oral) Apprehending threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of the private respondents, the petitioner has come up before this Court by invoking their fundamental rights of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, seeking direction to the State to protect them from the private respondents. 2.

At the outset, counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be contended and satisfied if respondent no.2-SSP, Batala is directed to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) made before by the petitioner him/her in a time bound manner. 3.

Notice served upon the official respondent(s) through State's counsel. The nature of order this Court proposes to pass, no response of the official respondent(s) is required. 4.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of, with a direction to respondent no.2-SSP, Batala to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) submitted by the petitioner, either himself/herself or by delegating the same to any officer not below the rank of IPS, by passing a speaking order, within two months, in accordance with law. The order so passed be communicated to the petitioner as well as to his counsel on his email ID as well. Petition is allowed to the extent mentioned above. The petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this Court against the order so passed, if required. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
