 The petitioner apprehends his arrest in respect of the offences punishable under Section 61 of Punjab Excise Act, 1914 in FIR No. 77 dated 09.10.2024 registered at Police Station Lohian, District Jalandhar Rural, where the allegation against the petitioner is that 110 kg of Lahan and 2000 ml of illicit liquor were recovered from his house. 2.

The petitioner has also criminal antecedents where he had been found guilty and convicted for a similar offence but released on probation. 3.

In view of the above and the fact that investigation is pending, it would be appropriate to decline anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage but he is given liberty to revisit the Court after conclusion of the investigation. 4.
