The petitioners, aggrieved by the alleged harassment at the instance of police officials, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, has come up before this Court seeking protection through the State.

Notice served upon the official respondent through the State's counsel. Given the nature of the order that this Court proposes to pass, neither the response of official respondents nor the issuance of notices to the private respondents is required. 3.
Counsel for the State on instructions submits that son of petitioner No.1 has been nominated as an accused and they have all the rights to search him. It is also submitted that in case, the police officials visit the house of petitioner No.1 for search, as the offence involved is cognizable, they will be respectful and descent towards petitioners. She further submits that there is no fear from the police officials and they will not harass the petitioners and doing their duties in accordance with law. 4.
Given above, no further orders are required to pass in the present petition, however if the petitioners feel threat, they shall be at liberty to make a representation before the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police, who shall assess threat perception and provide protection on the basis of day to day analysis, if required. 5.

Since this order shall eclipse after fifteen days, and after that if the concerned officer wants to provide any further security, he/she may provide at his/her own level and not based on the order of this Court.

The concerned officer can also verify its authenticity and may download and use the downloaded copy for immediate use.
Petition is disposed of with aforesaid observation. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed.
