The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution for quashing the order dated 07.08.2019 (Annexure P-13) whereby the petitioner was transferred from Career Agents Branch, Amritsar, to Abohar, and the order dated 08.08.2019 (Annexure P-4) whereby he was relieved without supplying him the copy of order dated 07.08.2019.

At the outset, learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that vide order dated 30.06.2020 (Annexure P-14), the petitioner had been transferred from Abohar to Zira by mentioning the reason as 'request transfer', whereas he had never made such a request as his family is residing at Amritsar and his wife is suffering from Cancer. Above all, his old aged father is suffering from paralysis.

Learned senior counsel further submits that the petitioner has made a request to the Branch Manager, LIC, Zira, vide letter dated 18.09.2020 (Annexure P-15), to consider his transfer from Zira to Amritsar. At this stage, learned senior counsel for the petitioner sumbits that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the competent

In view of the prayer made by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner during the course of hearing today, but without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Divisional Manager, Divisional Officer, LIC, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar, to decide the application dated 18.09.2020 (Annexure P-15) made by the petitioner, by passing a speaking order, as per the policy i.e. LIC of India Class-III Employees (Mobility) Policy, 2015, within a period of one month after the receipt of certified copy of this order. 07.10.2020
