 The grievance of the petitioner is that instead of the actual incident which took place, a case for commission of causing simple hurt and rioting has been registered by the police.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that several injuries were sustained by the petitioner including on vital parts of the body and yet a case of much less grave offences has been registered by the police. 3.

The petitioner in such a situation can very well approach the concerned Magistrate of the area concerned under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

With the liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned Magistrate under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petition stands disposed of.
