The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No.3- Inspector General of Police, Amritsar Range, Amritsar to decide his appeal in a time bound manner.

The petitioner remained absent from duty from 17.03.2003 to 27.09.2003. He came to be dismissed vide order dated 09.08.2005. He filed appeal before the Appellate Authority on 02.07.2025. 3.
Counsel for the petitioner submits that grievance of the petitioner would be redressed if respondent No. 3 is directed to decide his appeal in a time bound manner.
