(Oral) Present petition has been filed for setting aside the order dated 23.10.2024, Annexure P-2, passed by Judicial Magistrate First Class, Zira, District Ferozepur whereby the petitioner has been declared a proclaimed person in case FIR No.65 dated 06.06.2024 under Sections 307, 447, 427, 107, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act registered at Police Station Zira, District Ferozepur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that due to being under wrong impression that only a police inquiry is going against him, he did not appear before the trial Court on the date fixed. On coming to know about the summons having been issued, he on his own surrendered before the Court on 18.11.2024. Thereafter, the trial continued, and he was acquitted of the charges, vide judgment dated 02.04.2025, passed by the Sessions Court, Ferozepur.

The facts are not disputed by the learned State counsel. In fact, it has been stated in the short reply, dated 11.12.2024, filed on behalf of the State that on account of the petitioner's surrender before the trial Court, the SONIA BURA 2025.05.16 16:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
