HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8 and to decide the representation dated 24.08.2024 (Annexure P-6) submitted by the petitioner. On 21.11.2024, the following order was passed:- "Petitioner Surinder Singh Gill has filed petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India in the nature of Mandamus with prayer for issuing direction to respondent No. 3 to protect life and liberty of petitioner from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 8 on the basis of representation dated 24.08.2024 vide UID No. 421191 (P-6) moved by petitioner and to decide representation (P-6) within stipulated time period.

In compliance thereof, Status report by way of affidavit of Guriqbal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Samana, District Patiala has been filed, which is taken on record. Learned State counsel submits that threat perception qua the petitioner was dispassionately assessed by the jurisdictional police authorities and it has been concluded that there is no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner and the representation (Annexure P-6) has been duly looked into and stands decided as veracity of the allegations contained therein are found to be false.

In view of the above, no further directions are required to be passed.

Disposed of, accordingly.
