    The petitioner, who happens to be the complainant, seeks issuance of a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to carry out investigation in free and fair manner against respondent No.4 in FIR No. 143 dated 22.07.2023 under Sections 420, 465, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station City-1, Abohar, District Fazilka and also to submit final report after registration of offence in the trial Court despite the said authorities having been informed of commission of cognizable offences. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner wants action to be taken against respondent No.4 in free, fair and expeditious manner.

The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023 provides for ample remedy to the complainants/victims arising out of the cause of non-registration of case as well as non-conduction of investigation in a free, fair and expeditious manner. The provision of Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Section 175 of BNSS) and Section 200 of Code of RAVINDER KUMAR 2024.11.20 18:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document



  [2] Criminal Procedure (Section 223 of BNSS) can very well be invoked by the complainant by filing an application before the Magistrate of the area concerned.  4.

In view of the above, this Court declines interference and relegates the complainant to avail the aforesaid remedies before the Magistrate of the area concerned.
