The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 24.03.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-9568-1999, whereby respondents were directed to consider the claim of the petitioner in the light of the judgment dated 05.06.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-7776-2024 titled as 'Iqbal Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others'.

In compliance of the order dated 24.03.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-9568-1999, reply by way of affidavit dated 20.01.2026, along with order dated 30.12.2025 (Annexure R-1), has been filed on behalf of respondent No.3 as well as reply by way of affidavit dated 22.01.2026 of VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.02.26 10:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-4959-2025 (O&M) -2O.P.Narwal, IPS, Inspector General, Haryana Armed Police, Madhuban, has been filed on behalf of respondent No.2, which are taken on record. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that speaking order could not be passed in terms of judgment passed in Iqbal Singh's case (supra), since respondent-State has preferred Letters Patent Appeal against the same by filing LPA-2006-2025.

In view of the above, the present contempt petition is dismissed. Liberty is, however, granted to the petitioner to avail the remedy as is available to him, in accordance with law, after the decision of LPA2006-2025. 4.
