Mr.Karan Bhardwaj, Advocate for the petitioners. **** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) The petitioners are seeking a direction to the respondents to regularize their services in terms of the Punjab Adhoc, Contractual, Daily Wage, Temporary, Work Charged and Outsourced Employees Welfare Act, 2016. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been working for over 14 years and, therefore, they would be entitled to regularization.

Issue notice to the respondents.

Ms. Samridhi Sareen, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the respondents and submits that this Act of 2016 has been challenged in a petition, which is pending adjudication before a Division Bench of this Court and an affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State that the Act is being kept in abeyance and not being implemented.

Heard.

The petitioners are seeking regularization of services in terms of 2016 Act, which has been kept in abeyance. Therefore, at this stage direction cannot be issued to the respondents to regularize their services in terms of the 2016 Act.
