The grievance of the petitioner hinges upon no decision being made by the Family Court concerned, on his application filed under Order 6 Rule 17 of the CPC for amendment of the petition, as filed under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, for dissolution of marriage on the ground of cruelty.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the amendment application (supra) was filed before the Family Court approx. a year back, however, no decision has yet been made thereon. 3.

Although the learned counsel for the petitioner could not point out, by placing on record any interim order of the Family Court, that there is any delay on the part of the latter in deciding the amendment application (supra), however, considering the bona fide and innocuous prayer of the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the DEVINDER YADAV 2025.01.23 09:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-31086-2024 Family Court to make efforts to expeditiously decide the amendment application (supra).

The instant writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 5.

A copy of this order be forthwith sent to the Family Court for information and compliance.
