It is submitted that the petitioner was granted the contract for a public ferry by boat over the Yamuna river at 'Gumthala Ghat' in village Gumthala Rao from 20.05.2019 to 19.05.2020 (Annexure P1). However, as the water level is low, it is not possible to run the ferry over the river. It is further submitted that due to construction of a bridge being carried out within the area of two kilometers, a temporary bridge has been constructed by the contractor of the said bridge. CWP No.1342 of 2020 [2] petitioner due to raising of the temporary bridge by the contractor, who is constructing the permanent bridge over the river, as the general public also started using the same. The petitioner approached respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Yamuna Nagar for permission to raise a temporary bridge or to stop the public ferry. It is further submitted that respondent No.2 has not decided the representation, Annexure P6 submitted by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State submits that the contract in favour of the petitioner was in respect to a public ferry through boats. However, it is submitted that the matter shall be looked into by respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Yamuna Nagar and the petitioner's representation decided within three weeks.

In view of the statement of learned counsel for the State, this writ petition is disposed of.

Needless to say, respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Yamuna Nagar shall consider and decide representation dated nil (Annexure P6) submitted by the petitioner within three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
