(ORAL) The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay remuneration to the petitioner as Extension Lecturer at the rate of ₹57,700 per month as she has been considered eligible vide speaking order dated 15.05.2025, Annexure P-6. 2.
Learned State counsel has received instructions from the second respondent/Director General, Higher Education, vide memo dated 28.10.2025, which is retained on the case file as Annexure 'A'. Referring to the same, she contends that the petitioner has been considered eligible subject to verification of her Ph.D degree by the Anti Corruption Bureau, Panchkula. The matter concerning verification of degrees obtained by Extension Lecturers from private Universities has been referred to the Bureau, in compliance of the directions issued by this Court in CWP no.26892 of 2023 titled Dr. Manju Bala and others v. CWP-30088-2025 -2is in the process of taking a decision whether to grant remuneration to eligible Extension Lecturers like the petitioner in such circumstances. Depending upon the decision taken, the petitioner will also be given the benefit admissible in terms thereof.

In view of the statement made, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection to the petition being disposed of in terms thereof. 4.
