Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for seeking directions to the official respondents to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.6 to 8 and not to cause interference in the matrimonial life of the petitioners at the behest of respondents No.6 to 8. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that both the petitioners had performed marriage on and
apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, a protection petition was filed by them in the year 2022 itself before this Court, which was disposed of by this Court vide order dated , passed in
, titled as,

Thereupon, petitioners started living happily together, but once again private respondents No.6 to 8, who are the parents/family members of petitioner No.1 - Reenu, have started bothering and causing interference into the day)to)day life of the petitioners, compelling them to file instant protection petition before this Court.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Kanwar Sanjiv Kumar, AAG, Haryana, who is present in the Court, accepts notice for respondents No.1 to 5 - State and seeks time to get instructions and to file status report/reply, if any. Let requisite copies of the complete paper book be handed over to the learned State counsel, during the course of the day.

That in pursuance of order dated 01.10.2025 passed by this Hon'ble Court and as per application Annexure P)5 moved by petitioners before respondent no.2/ Superintendent of Police Kurukshetra, an inquiry was conducted by SI Mool Chand and during the inquiry on 17.10.2025 the inquiry
1 officer visited the house of petitioners and recorded the statements of petitioner no.1, namely, Reenu and petitioner no.2, namely, Harneet Singh. In the statement petitioner no.1 stated that she had got married with petitioner no.2 on 19.12.2022, now they are living as husband and wife with their own will. There is no threat of life to them from private respondents no.6 to 8. They have no need of police protection now. The statements of petitioners are enclosed herewith as Annexure R)1 and Annexure R)2 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court.

That during the inquiry on 17.10.2025, he visited Village Khurana and inquired about the matter. During the inquiry statements of private respondents no.6 to 8 were recorded and they have stated that to petitioner no.1 now living with her husband Harneet Singh (petitioner no.2). They have no objection with the living status of Petitioner No.1, she can reside anywhere she wants. The report investigating officer and Station House Officer, Police Ladwa, District Kurukshetra are enclosed herewith as Annexure R)3 and Annexure R)4 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court. The statements of private respondents no.6 to 8 are enclosed herewith as Annexure R)5 to Annexure R)7 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court.

That during the inquiry it was found that a FIR no.254 dated 18.09.2025 was registered under Section 127 (6) BNS, Police Station Sadar Kathal. The investigating officer SI Mool Chand also contacted the Kaithal Police who has stated that statement of petitioner no.1, under Section 183 BNSS, 2023 was got recorded before learned IMIC Kaithal. In pursuance of statement of petitioner no.1 under Section 183 BNSS the said FIR was filed as the petitioner no.1 did not make any allegation against petitioner no.2.
2 That in view of the statements of petitioners and statements of private respondents No. 6 to 8, no perception of threat were found to be petitioners from private respondents.
