The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying for quashing of case FIR No.336 dated 30.12.2017, registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and Section 182 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at Police Station Sahnewal, District Ludhiana. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since, vide order dated 24.07.2023 passed in CRM-M-10645-2022 titled as 'Dharamjit Singh Gill Vs. State of Punjab and another', by this Court, the FIR in question stands quashed on the basis of compromise, therefore, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
