**** ALKA SARIN, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner No.1 is a major and petitioner No.2 is aged 17 years and 9 months. He further contends that the petitioners are in a live in relationship against the wishes of their parents and relatives. They have been receiving serious threats and apprehend grave danger to their life and liberty. The petitioners have also sent a representation (Annexure P-3) in this regard to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Rural Amritsar, Punjab, but no action has been taken so far.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kirat Singh Sidhu, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Without expressing any opinion with regard to the veracity of the contents of the petition and the submissions made by learned counsel for

It is, however, made clear that this order shall not, in any manner, be construed as an expression of opinion qua the live in relationship of the petitioners and shall have no effect on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted/pending against them.
