GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) The petitioners who claim themselves to be major have approached this Court seeking protection of their lives as they apprehend threat to the same, having married against the wishes of their parents and relatives. 2.
At this stage, Mr. Paramjit Singh Jammu, has put in appearance on behalf of respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 and has filed Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 are also present in person. 3.
The learned counsel for respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 has requested that respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 may be permitted to meet petitioner No.1Kanwaljeet Kaur for a short while. 4.
Acceding to the aforesaid request, aforesaid respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 were permitted to have a word with petitioner No.1-Kanwaljeet Kaur for a short while, outside the Court room. After they came back, respondent GAURAV SOROT 2019.12.24 17:02 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

The learned counsel for respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 have assured that respondent Nos.5, 6 & 8 or any of her relatives will not harm the petitioners in any manner.

While refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioners approach the police authorities concerned by way of filing a detailed representation with regard to their alleged threat perception, the same shall be got examined by Senior Superintendent of Police Amritsar (Rural), expeditiously in accordance with law and necessary steps as may be warranted under the facts and circumstances of the case be taken thereupon forthwith. 7.
A copy of this order be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police Amritsar (Rural)-respondent No.2, so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously.
