**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 CrPC, prayer has been made for quashing of DDR/GD No.40 dated 30.04.2022 registered under Sections 336, 148, 149, 427 & 323 of IPC and Sections 25, 54 & 59 of Arms Act, 1959 at P.S. Nathana District Bathinda registered as cross case in FIR No. 61 dated 30.04.2022 registered under Sections 307/341/506/148 & 149 of IPC and Sections 25/54/59 of Arms Act at P.S. Nathana, District Bathinda.

Learned State counsel on instructions from Investigating Officer submits that the Investigating agency is in the process of preparing the cancellation report in reference to the aforementioned DDR. In view of the above, the present petition is rendered as infructuous.

Considering the fact that the DDR in question was recorded on 30.04.2022 and a period of almost 1 year and 9 months has almost gone by, the respondent/Investigating Agency is directed to submit its final report within a period of two months from today.
