Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite order dated 17.08.2023, whereby, the official respondents were directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, nothing has been done and more so, the petitioners were again assaulted for which GD No. 014 dated 29.10.2023 has also been lodged (Annexure P-7). 2.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of with direction to respondents No. 3 & 4 to look into the matter and take appropriate steps in accordance with law by complying with the principles of natural justice and conducting a fair and impartial enquiry. 3.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
